Susan is a New York licensed occupational therapist with over 25 years of experience working with children with sensory processing delays, autism, attention and learning challenges. She is a dedicated and passionate therapist and includes families as part of the evaluation or treatment process. Occupational Therapy assessments and treatment for children take place in home, school and virtual settings. She has keen observation skills and her playful manner encourages children to do their best.
Susan's approach is to understand each child's strengths, needs, and learning style and to provide therapy through individualized challenges in a playful and supportive environment. This enables your child to discover what they CAN do to build and expand skills and confidence.
It is important to help a child develop the skills they need to flourish at home, school, and in the community. Parents should discuss expected developmental milestones and any concerns with their pediatrician. Here are some reasons to consider seeking occupational therapy for an evaluation, treatment or consultation.
If one or more of the above behaviors seem to be interfering with play, self- care, social and/or self - regulation skills, call today to discuss your concerns.
