Susan, the principal therapist, started her career as an occupational therapist (OT) at Rusk Rehabilitation, NYU Medical Center, NYC, recognized as the founder and national leader in rehabilitation services. Her focus was treating teenagers and adults with a variety of neurologic, traumatic, and orthopedic disabilities. She coordinated Evaluations, OT/PT services and Inservice trainings for occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, teachers and teacher assistants, and was the Educational Director for 5 years. After moving to Westchester to raise her young child, Susan became Program Coordinator of the Early Intervention program at the Scarsdale/Ardsley Alcott Montessori School, growing the developmental class programs, expanding the evaluation program and initiating a parent child group. After several years, she became Program Director of Milestones, an Early Intervention Program at Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) one of the largest social services agencies servicing all ages and backgrounds. At WJCS, she developed and expanded the Early Intervention and Preschool Special needs programing to include home base services, a developmental group for autistic children, case management, and a parent child group.
